Time For Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup



Chicken Noodle Soup, a classic comfort food that's enjoyed year round by millions of people.  It mainly consists of clear broth served with ones favorite vegetables with pieces of tender chicken.  It is considered to be one of many comfort foods, and most cultures have adapted their own version in relation to their own particular culture. In my allergy free recipe below, you will see I used the Egg Free Noodles.  This recipe will soon be listed under 'My Recipes' hope you enjoy! 

It seems that chicken soup was invented almost as soon as humans found out that dropping meat into some boiling water and from that boiling water made some great tasting broth.

Did y'all know that "soup" comes from "sops" meaning that this term once used to tell about any dish that had enough liquid in it would make a person want to 'sop' it up with some bread.  No wonder I use to always like to take that last little bit of biscuit or cornbread and eat that last bit of soup and eat it up or shall I say 'sop' it up.  I do remember when growing up that word  'sop' was used quite often, so yes I would 'sop' up til the very end, it was all so good!

Just Some Good Hot Chocolate

The weather can't seem to make up it's mind, cold, snowy one day, sunshine another day.  Waking up to five inches of snow today, 3/5/12 and it's March, what a pretty surprise.  Eventhough everyone is probably ready for spring, I have to admit, this snow was really pretty, here for half a day, then gone.  I just had to share a couple of pictures with you, probably the last snow of the season.  So anyway, I think it's time for some hot chocolate, so check below and see our oh so simple delicious hot chocolate.

Just looking down the neighborhood street, doesn't it seem cold but yet cozy and saying go inside and get that yummy cup of hot chocolate.





Have a taste of hot chocolate, on a sun shiny cold day.It was sunny this day, snow the next day.

Since winter seems to be still sticking around in some places, how about some hot chocolate.  In our allergy free world, it's just as simple to make as it is to drink. Our Nesquik is easy and fun for us to make, in the ingredients it says just as plain as day: Made On Equipment That Also Processes Milk Wheat And Soy.  Of course for the milk allergy, Rice Milk is used. Eventhough milk is one of the allergens in our household, some things are tolerable and ok just as long as it's not one of the actual ingredients. Once again, like I Always Say: Read The Ingredients! You will see posted later in the products that I use the type of marshmallows that we have found yummy and tasty that are used in our allergy free world.  So here you have it, go get some:

Nestle Nesquik

Rice Dream Rice Drink Vanilla Enriched

Jet Puffed Marshmellows and

Add 1 cup Rice Dream(warmed in microwave) plus

2tbsp Nesquik and stir, add some marshmellows and

ENJOY!

Rice Dream Milk (Vanilla Flavor), on the milk you will notice different percentages of calcium, I was told and taught to buy the higher of the calcium which says 30%, once again this is to benefit my daughter's allergy free world, what works for one person may not work for someone else. This hot chocolate has been a favorite, it's easy and it's Good!  Oh, by the way, back away from those cookies, they're Not allergy free.

Welcome To My World Of Allergy Free Cooking!

When life gives you lemons, well, make some lemonade!  That's what I say anyway, I'm sure we all have said that before, you may have some food allergies, but guess what- you can have your cake and enjoy it too! 

Come on this journey with me and I will share with you some allergy free recipes, some tips on allergy free cooking, and some fun facts to just get through the everyday life style of living with food allergies.

My youngest daughter is allergic to peanuts, eggs, milk, fish and shellfish which are some major top allergens.  She has been living with these food allergies for the past 10 years, fortunately she did outgrow her wheat and soy allergy.  She is my little helper, and photographer, she imspired me to start this blog to share what we know hoping to make your food allergy world just a little more at ease.

Enjoy this learning journey with me, if you or your loved ones have any of these food allergies, sit back and still taste the flavors of your favorite foods, you just may forget you have food allergies.

Just Remember, Food Allergies Can Be Very Serious, Being Aware and Well Educated Of A Specific Food Allergy Or Allergies, One Can Still Live A Healthy And Happy Life Style.
