About Me

Hello everyone, I'm Marilyn, I'm married, also a homeschooling mom, also will be continuing to work towards my college degree.  I love music, and coming from a musical talented family, as a child, I took piano lessons and I also enjoyed playing the alto saxophone. Sometimes I just like to sit back and listen to some music.   I do believe that everything happens for a reason, I have faith that I will be employed again, but at the right time.  My mother always says to me 'God is Good'.

I'm just a down home country girl, 'you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl.'  I'm all about tradition, I love good food, good conversation, and good company. I have always love to cook, as a child I enjoyed cooking on my easy bake oven.  When growing up, I remember  my mother making big delicious holiday dinners. All that good food, I don't remember any talk about food allergies, what we call 'back in the day' food allergies were thought to be non-existent.

My youngest daughter was diagnosed with food allergies at the young age of 3 yrs old, this was not found out over night, it took many doctor visits, having this many food allergies can be challenging to live with. When the proper diagnosis was made, I was happy and sad at the same time, happy she was finally diagnosed, but sad knowing she was eating some of the things she was allergic to, I didn't know.

Reading the ingredients and looking for specific food allergens has helped to keep my daughter's allergies under control. I will share recipes that were shared with me from a nutrtionist that showed me how to avoid these specific allergens: peanuts, dairy, eggs, fish, shellfish I will also be sharing with you some of my own tasty recipes. Also  will share some tips, some fun facts and so much more, these tips  has helped me to help my daughter that has helped her.  This is No substitute for seeking any type of medical care or medical advice, everyone's situation is different.

If you decide to visit my blog, I hope you will be abe to chill and relax( my daughter calls it chill-lax) by enjoying some allergy free recipes, tips, and much more just to make your allergy world a little more at ease.
